*NEW* Clothing Allowance Payment:
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) has a $270 Clothing Allowance Payment for people receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The $270 payment is per family. Families can use the payment to pay for their children's clothing needs.

SNAP Food Benefits
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly food benefits to help you buy healthy food.This program helps people pay for groceries, learn about nutrition, and get job training and support.

Oregon Health Plan
The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is Oregon’s Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program plan.
You can get OHP if you meet income limits and other requirements. People of all ages and any immigration status can qualify.
OHP provides free health coverage.
OHP may cover medical, dental, mental health care, and help with substance use disorders or addiction.
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) makes sure people qualify for OHP. Once you are approved, you will work with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to manage your care.

Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) program
The Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) program helps families who are working, in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) pay for child care, including registration fees. We also work with partners across the state to help families find and keep good child care.
ERDC is a subsidy program. This means many families still pay part of the child care cost. This is called a copayment (copay).

TANF Cash Benefits
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) provides a monthly cash benefit to families with children who meet income limits. This program provides cash that families can use to pay for things they need while they work toward supporting themselves. The amount of money a family gets depends on how much money they make and how many people are in the family. For example, a family of three with no other income can get up to $506 a month.

Community In Action
Community in Action (CinA) is a non-profit 501 c 3 and charitable contribution agency. CinA was formed in 2009 and is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine community members who represent Community Directors, Low-income Directors, and Elected Officials that reside in Harney and Malheur Counties. It was formed to help those residents who lack resources to thrive and to offer hope to those in need.

Housing Authority of Malheur & Harney County
Since 1950 the Housing Authority of Malheur & Harney County (HAMHC) has been providing housing options for low- and moderate-income residents of Malheur and Harney County. Through the administration of several federal housing programs and the management/ ownership of multiple properties, HAMHC currently assists over 500 families annually in obtaining decent, safe, and affordable housing solutions within our jurisdictions we currently serve.

Project Dove
Project DOVE is a nonprofit organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, teen dating violence and stalking in Malheur County. The mission of the organization is to break the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in our community through awareness, prevention, and intervention.

Malheur County Health Dept/WIC
The local health department is the foundation of the local public health system. Public health works to track disease outbreaks, prevent injuries and shed light on why some of us are more likely to suffer from poor health than others. The many facets of public health include speaking out for laws that promote smoke-free indoor air and seatbelts, spreading the word about ways to stay healthy and giving science-based solutions to problems.
