Dear Parents and Students,
Due to the COVID interruption to school this year, the state of Oregon has approved extra funds for all students in grades K-12 to attend summer school. Summer school will be FREE for all students who wish to attend. For now, this extra summer school is a one-time event.
This extra summer school will be held in conjunction with our annual Migrant summer school. All students will attend and participate together.
In order to attend summer school, you must commit to the following requirements:
1) Commit to attend school each day from June 3-30 (20 days), Monday-Friday each week.
2) Be on time! Schedule is 7:30 am – 3:00 pm each day.
3) Commit to work hard and play hard. Areas of focus:
a. K-8 -- math, English, and science; hands-on learning, STEM, field trips, etc.
b. 9-12 -- credit recovery.
4) Be willing to transport your child to school if we are unable to find enough bus drivers to fill the need.

We have an urgent opportunity to fill slots at the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine Clinic this Thursday, 5/6, from 2-6 p.m. at Ontario High School. This is the only vaccine available to ages 16-17 and the doses will be expiring soon and need to be used. Call Lisa at 541-889-5374 for an appointment. Football Passes/Senior Night
Players will be given passes for their guests. EACH guest will need a pass.
The stadium will not open until 6pm. You will need to sign in and answer the health screening questions.
Masks are mandatory and please social distance to people not within your household.
SENIORS
Only your Parents/Guardians can meet you on the field. They will need passes.
Please do not bring any gifts or items on the field to your athlete.
Parents/Guardians that are meeting their athlete please be at the stadium at 6:15pm so we can start at 6:30.

Graduation is quickly approaching on SUNDAY, May 30, 2021. Please work with your senior to encourage a strong finish. We are planning a couple of different scenarios for our graduation ceremony based on county covid-19 levels. We are committed to having some type of in-person graduation that includes as many family members as possible. More information will be available soon. Thank you. JV Football game information:
Players will have 2 passes under their name at the ticket booth. Those people will need to give the players name and then give their name and be screened. The extra passes will be at the booth first come first serve. Masks are required as well as the screening questions along with the spectators name.

Parent Teacher Conferences are today from 8:00-12:00, 1:00-4:00, and 5:00-8:30. Due to Covid-19 all conferences will be held by zoom or by phone and are optional for those students with no D or F grades. If you did not schedule a conference, it is not too late. Según la Declaración de Derechos de Evaluación de Estudiantes, el Departamento de Educación de Oregón (ODE) y los distritos escolares de Oregón deben proporcionar a las familias con un “Aviso de Exámenes Estatales y el Formulario de Exclusión” 30 días antes del inicio de los exámenes estatales. Este año, la escuela se ha visto significativamente afectada por la pandemia de COVID-19 actual y otros factores. En respuesta, ODE planea solicitar al Departamento de Educación de los Estados Unidos una pausa temporal (también conocida como “exención”) en los exámenes de Artes de Lenguaje en Inglés (ELA, por sus siglas en inglés) y Matemáticas. También se está solicitando una pausa para los exámenes de ciencias, pero los exámenes de ciencias no están sujetos a esta regla de exclusión.
• Si se aprueba la solicitud de la exención, entonces los exámenes estatales de ELA y Matemáticas no se realizarán este año, y no será necesario que los padres presenten el formulario de exclusión a la escuela de su hijo/a.
• Si no se aprueba la solicitud de la exención, el período de exámenes se abrirá de 13 de abril de 2021. ODE actualizará a su distrito de forma regular con las noticias sobre la exención.
